BMW engine diagram - BMW 3 (E46) engine M43TU (316i, 318i) diagram
1 - a cover of a head of cylinders; 2 - a cam shaft; 3 - a roller rocker actuator; 4 - the hydraulic compensator bar of a spacing in valves; 5 - a spark plug; 6 - a balancing shaft; 7 - the cooling fluid pump; 8 - a thermostatically controlled chamber; 9 - V belt; 10 - an oil filter; 11 - the generator; 12 - the inlet pipe duct with the throttle valve case.
4-cylinder gasoline engine M43TU in volume of 1.9 l - 2-klapannyj, with a cam shaft located. From above the cam shaft is resulted in rotation by a chain. Valves are set in motion through a roller rocker actuator. For indemnification of vibration of the engine two balancing shaft, located under a bent shaft serve. A drive gear of valves - roller. An inlet path with changeable length DISA.
BMW engine diagram - BMW 3 (E46) engine M47 (320d) diagram
1 - cam shafts; 2 - a roller rocker actuator; 3 - the soaking up filter; 4 - the catalytic converter; 5 - a turbo-compressor; 6 - V belt; 7 - the generator; 8 - chains of drive gear of GDM; 9 - the vacuum pump; 10 - a spray jet.
In 4-cylinder turbodiesel М47 two cam shafts with the top arrangement have a chain drive gear and influence valves through a roller rocker actuator. The second chain actuates a high pressure fuel pump. A drive gear of valves - roller. The diesel engine has a turbo-supercharging with changeable geometry of the turbine (VTG) and cooling of submitted air. The head of cylinders is made of an aluminium alloy. The engine is supplied by the oxidising catalytic converter and system of recirculation of the fulfilled gases.
